I might say I'm a picky person when it comes to book covers. When they announced that Timothée Chalamet is starring the Little Women latest adaptation, I immediately surfing through the internet to find myself a copy of Little Women book with the cover that I love. But, turns out they're all at a very high price and the cover is not really ravishing to me. So, I managed to avoid watching the movie for about 2 years until I found my baby there with a very great deal and also my first second handed book!
Little Women is a novel that mostly inspired by Louisa's life and her sister. She captured herself as Jo which considered as the main character in the novel. I'd never thought that a domestic story would taught me many lesson and gave me the warmth feeling of family. I'm very fond of Jo's character because she's very brave and independent for a woman in that time.
Little Women sometimes published in two volume, and the second part called Good Wives. The movie itself-directed by Greta Gerwig-includes these two volumes. But, I recommend you not to read it because it is too sad to be read, even the movie left me burst with tears (some people also said it is not worth it).

Apart from the fact that Saoirse Ronan and Timothée Chalamet playing in one frame again, Little Women movie is such a stunning film. The cinematography, the plot, and the cast it's all just amazing! Though there are some plot that changed, but the movie still managed to carry most of the book's plot. But, if you want to experienced stronger family's bond and relationship, make sure you read the book first before dived into the movie.
Little Women will be my 'bible' from now on, because it always reminds me the importance and the value of a family. How far we might go, how strange the place might be, there will be one place to call home and it comes with familiar faces. Also, Little Women made me realise that not everything will go as we wanted, but it is not the end of everything. it is the beginning of something far greater than you ever expected ( I cried for Laurie, Jo, and Beth for days)
In conclusion, both of them is the best version of itself. But I'd still recommend you to read the book first because it is like reminiscing those innocent days of ours. Reading this book is like looking back to our childhood where we play all day and not worrying about anything.
